Full Description
Founded in about 1272, dissolved 1307.
Site unknown but perhaps in the vicinity of Greenland Fisheries in Bridge Street.
Information from (S1).
R. Trett (KLM) believes it stood somewhere near the Greenland Fishery.
See (S2) in which a discussion on the 13th century survey of Newlonde suggests on sketch plan that it stood north of St Nicholas's Chapel, but R. Trett (KLM) believes this is improbable.
E. Rose (NAU), 11 May 1983.
(S2) notes that the property of religious houses is described more fully in the Newelond Survey than lay holdings. The Friars of the Sack held an area containing their church and dwelling house within the area of the Newelond.
A. Cattermole (King's Lynn UAD), 15 May 2019.
