Location

Map sheet TF60NE
Civil Parish FINCHAM, WEST NORFOLK, NORFOLK

Map

1978. Aerial Photograph Interpretation.
A rectangular cropmark is visible at [1] on (S1) and (S2). This cropmark is situated on rolling arable land at a height of c. 15m O.D. A site visit proved negative and no finds of interest were recovered.
Information from (S3).
It should be noted that the Ordnance Survey number assigned to this cropmark (TF 60 NE 30) was an erroneous duplication of the number assigned to Shouldham Priory (NHER 4255). This appears to be the reason that a second, presumably incorrect grid reference was added to (S1) [2]. It remains likely that the recorded cropmark was indeed located at [1].
