Summary

The site of Boyland Hall, demolished in about 1947. A trial trench evaluation in 2003 revealed post medieval walls and foundations.

The majority of surviving evidence was in the form of post-medieval walls and foundations.

Report (S1) includes reference to a late medieval/early post-medieval wall [07] dated by some bricks. In the opinion of E. Rose (NLA), these are 19th century, thereby casting doubt upon this earlier phase of construction.
