Summary

The site of King Street Gate is positioned adjacent to the New Carrow Bridge. The Gate was also known as Conisford Gate, and is first mentioned between 1175 and 1186. It was repaired in 1661 and pulled down in 1794.

First mentioned between 1175 and 1186. Liber Albus and Register of St Benet of Holme 'ecclesiam Sancti Petri in Cuningesford prope portem civitatis Norwici' (1174 - 1186 AD).
Repaired 1661. Pulled down 1794.
