Summary

This is the site of a Roman settlement, and Roman brooches and pottery have been found by fieldwalking. Prehistoric flint flakes, a Neolithic arrowhead, an Early Saxon spearhead, and pottery dating from the Iron Age to the post medieval periods have also been found by fieldwalking.

Context 2 at TF 734 057, formerly numbered as NHER 14434.
Early Saxon socketed iron spearhead was found measuring 22 inches long and also bent.
No sign of burial.

Probably should read late Neolithic barbed point.
