Full Description
1955. Stray Find. [1].
Found by donor while digging in orchard on west side of Chippesby House:
1 chipped flint pick. Donated to Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1955.198). Information from (S1).
Although originally recorded as a Neolithic pick, this object was subsequently examined by R. Jacobi and identified as a Mesolithic 'Norfolk-type' adze with a tranchet sharpening blow. Information from (S2).
