Summary

Aerial photographs from before 1970 may depict irregular cropmarks of small enclosures alongside a major watercourse whose south end cuts across intensive striations. However, re-examination of these photographs failed to confirm the presence of these features and they may have been confused with a site further south (NHER 15808).

Map

Pre 1970. Aerial photography.
Irregular cropmarks of small enclosures alongside major (artificial?) watercourse whose south end cuts across intensive striations.
Quoted from (S1) by OS card (S2).
Compiled by E. Rose (NAU), 28 February 1980.

Examination of photographs revealed no such features at grid reference given in (S1); probably a mistake for feature further south (site NHER 15808).
Compiled by R. Silvester (NAU), March 1989.
