Summary

The site where two hoards of Roman coins were found, the first (Choseley I) in 1942, and the second (Choseley II) in 1945. Choseley I consisted of 300 to 350 coins in an earthenware pot, and Choseley II consisted of some 600 coins. Analysis of the coins indicate that both hoards were buried in the late 3rd century, probably during a period of economic unrest.
