Summary

Building work in or before 1976 destroyed the flint footings of a large building or enclosure, in which was found a handful of Roman, medieval and post medieval pottery sherds.

Flint footings, aproximate 30ft x 50ft (9.1m x 15.2m), of large building or enclosure destroyed by bulldozer. Afterwards in surface were found Roman coarse wares, one Samian sherd, medieval and post medieval sherds, retouched flint
flake.

1974 NAU air photographs show this enclosure with footings protruding above ground, amidst earthworks of drainage dykes. Grid reference thus slightly corrected.
