Summary

1946 aerial photography shows the soilmark of a linear ditch running diagonally northeast-southwest across two fields to the north of Mill Lane, Rocklands. It appears to be a continuation of field boundaries visible to the north and south on the tithe map of the area.

1946 aerial photography (S2)-(S3) shows the soilmark of a linear ditch running diagonally northeast-southwest across two fields to the north of Mill Lane, Rocklands.
The ditch feature runs from TM 0013 9734 to TL 9984 9661. It appears to be a continuation of field boundaries visible to the north and south on the tithe map of the area.
Soilmarks of other field boundaries and pits visible on the tithe and 1st edition Ordnance Survey maps are also visible as soilmarks in the vicinity (S4), but they have not been mapped, as they are depicted on the historic maps.
