Summary

Marks of enclosures and linear features were seen after deep ploughing in 1943. Roman pottery fragments and animal remains are also reported to have been found.

1943. In field west of Chalk Lane. Ground markings of straight lines and rectangular enclosures seen after deep ploughing. Pottery found was 1st to 3rd century.
