Map

January 1978 and September 1982. Visit.
East gable wall of flint with stepped gable, and two pairs of blocked square pedimented windows on attic level and upper floor - latter cut by attached wing that hides ground floor. Rear (north) wall has in part a moulded brick string course between first and ground floors.
Façade of 19th century brick with two projecting bay windows with stepped gables, and attached wings with stepped gables and imitation Tudor windows. East gable wall is of about 1600. Rear wall is later 17th century. Victorian façade perhaps replaces a late 17th century façade and is an attempt to 'restore' the Tudor appearance, but the attached wings have no ancestors here.
E. Rose (NAU), 25 January 1978 and 16 September 1982.

The attached farm buildings are described in (S1) as a T-shaped barn, covered yard to north, horse yard to south; cart lodge and granary, and loose boses. Stables by horse yard gutted. Barn has unusual wide wagon entrance in west gable which is tumbled and continues down into pentises; possibly once another set of stables attached to barn, the door being a later insertion. Covered yard has half hipped tiled roof held up on scissor trusses; dates before 1890.
Unusually complete farmstead showing 18th and 19th century development.
E. Rose (NLA), 13 January 1995.

January 2006.
The farmhouse may have been first built in the early 17th century.
