Flint tools, including axes, knives, arrowheads, borers and scrapers, together with pot boilers and bones have been turned up by ploughing.

R.R. Clarke (NCM) says calcined flint ?hearth, reddened soil 1.5m by 2.4m (5 feet by 8 feet) found in deep ploughing.
E. Rose (NAU).

A.Rogerson (NLA) says that to the east of the blocked north door there
is a second blocked door and a set of fossil quoins - suggesting the
church had been extended westwards.
