Full Description
1963. While digging gas pipe trench in grounds of Wattlefield Hall.
Two sherds of Roman pottery pot boiler and animal bones. About 2ft (60cm) down there are patches of very dark soil with pot boilers. The ground in the area marked on the 6inch Ordnance Survey map (S1) is very uneven.

In NCM and donated to NCM through A. Rogerson (NCU), in about 1978.
A few Roman, but predominantly medieval sherds and two Ipswich (One sandy and one pimply). From the 1963 pipe trench.
To NCM in about 1978, but not entered into NHER then.
