Summary

Two prehistoric pottery sherds were found here 1961. One is a decorated sherd of possible Early Neolithic date. Previously recorded under NHER 5655.

Found by [1] on a fire break north of the St Helen's Church site at approximately TL 838 875:
1 ?Middle Neolithic pottery sherd (?Mortlake with herringbone motif impressed with a whipped cord stamp). See drawing (S1).
2 undatable prehistoric pottery sherds.
Donated to the Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1962.311 : A). Information from (S2).
Finds described in detail in (S3) (in which the drawing of the illustrated sherd is reproduced). One of these sherds is listed as Beaker in (S4).
