Full Description
F. N. Hawards 'suspected flint mines' (polished axes etc). Flint mining industry all over this area.
R. R. Clarke (NCM).
May 2020. Breckland National Mapping Programme.
No evidence of flint mining was identified on the consulted sources at this location, although see NHER 61154 550m to the southeast, and other pits, of probable post medieval date, recorded in the vicinity.
