Summary

From 1951 objects have been recovered from this area, including Neolithic, Roman, Middle Saxon, and medieval pottery sherds. An undated bone pin, an Iron Age coin, Roman coins and quern fragments have also been retrieved here. An aerial photograph of this area from 1976 is also thought to record the cropmarks of an undated ring ditch.

Roman pottery and Niedermendig lava [2].
Five sherds Ipswich ware, including two rims.
Fragment of a bone pin [3], (S1) confirmed by C. Dallas (NAU), 1978.
Glazed medieval sherd [4].
The sherds from this site include those from two Early Neolithic plain bowl pots and a Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age Grooved Ware vessel [5]. See drawings (S2) and (S3).

Pre 1978. Somewhere within this area found with metal detector:
Iceni pattern horse (See S5), double crescent and wreath coin.
