1961. Ploughing to depth of 30 to 32.5cm (12 to 13 inches)
Brought to surface Roman potsherds
Dug to depth of 45cm (1 foot 6 inches) and retrieved numerous sherds of handled storage jars (amphorae) red ware. Material not checked.

Late 1982. Metal detecting.
Field between River Tas and railway opposite Roman town, same area as previous finds but probably spread further to south.
Roman roof tile and imbrex fragments, coarse ware sherds and rim sherd of parchment ware dish.
