Site of windmill (on 1923 6 inch map) and Faden (S1), 1797.

A windmill in North Walsham was damaged by fire in 1896. Which is not specified but perhaps NHER 13282 is the most probable as a reference to it in 1896 is mentioned.

June 2017. Aerial Imagery Interpretation.
Assessment of aerial imagery along proposed route of onshore cable for Norfolk Vanguard and Boreas Offshore Wind Farms.
This study identified no evidence for surviving remains associated with this windmill.

October 2017-March 2018. Geophysical Survey.
Magnetometer survey of site on proposed route of onshore cable for Norfolk Vanguard and Boreas Offshore Wind Farms.
This survey identified a concentration of discrete anomalies in the vicinity of the site of this windmill. These are though only regarded as being of undetermined origin and don't necessarily represent archaeologically-significant feature. There was no evidence for surviving remains associated with the windmill itself.

Evaluation of site on proposed route of onshore cable for Norfolk Vanguard and Boreas Offshore Wind Farms.
Two trenches exacted close to the site of this windmill uncovered no associated remains. The group of discrete geophysical anomalies at this location were shown to be of natural origin
