Summary

In 1958 a Neolithic flint knife and two flint arrowheads were recovered from the field surface here. Some years later a prehistoric pebble macehead was found. Further worked flints were recovered during fieldwalking undertaken as part of the Fenland Project.

Flint knife and two arrowheads.
All given to KLM but only knife registered - according to Ordnance Survey card.

Some years before 1987. Stray Find
Same approximate site as above finds but near the east hedge of field, on surface.
Quartzite pebble hammer with hourglass perforation, battered around edge, more heavily in one quarter of circumference. These objects, now typically described as pebble maces, are not closely datable, having been found in both Mesolithic and later prehistoric contexts. This object is held by the King's Lynn Museum (KILLM : 1958.1.11) and was listed in (S1).

Two spreads of flint, the more southerly is widespread. Site SRY BH.
Finds held by NCM.
Flints are Early Neolithic - F. Healy (NAU).
