Summary

This Bronze Age barrow was described as standing 90cm tall and 15m across in 1935. The site has been ploughed since then and the mound can no longer be seen although there is a slight undulation in the field.

Map

Situated 29m (32 yards) south of road (railway to Cross's Grave). Tumulus is about 15.5m (17 yards) diameter, 90cm (3 feet) high. No ditch or bank, much dug for rabbits.

1936.
Small fragments of pottery found by R.R. Clarke (NCM); dark brown ware with nail decoration surface. Two sherds grooved ware? One sherd 1mm thick.

Round but much disturbed with many potboilers on it.

No sign of mound in young crop. Pottery in NCM is food vessel.
