Location

Map sheet TF70SW
Civil Parish OXBOROUGH, BRECKLAND, NORFOLK

Map

Oxborough Hithe.
(S1) mentions a possible site in the park north of the ruined church. This was seen on air photographs by Ordnance Survey inspectors.

Site visited by E. Rose 31 January 1978.
Only very faint earthworks in pasture. However NAU air photographs show earthworks as apparently drainage of
comparatively recent form and perhaps nothing to do with a deserted village at all. They also extend outside marked area. Area marked on map now under arable. Fields east, and northeast of ruined church under pasture but not showing any recognisable earthworks.
H. Paterson (NLA), 24 May 1996.
