Map

1964. Stray Find.
Found in gravel workings on Broome Heath, about 400yds [360m] north-east of All Hallows' Hospital:
1 Palaeolithic retouched flint flake. Donated to Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1964.162). Information from (S1).
This discovery was reported in (S2) and is also listed in (S3). It is described by Wymer on (S4) and in (S5) as rolled and striated with some unspecialised secondary working. In (S5) Wymer mistakenly suggests that this find is the same as one reported in 1907 - this is recorded under NHER 10651.
Amended by P. Watkins (HES), 26 February 2014.
