Summary

Two pieces of Roman pottery were found southeast of Ingham Church. This pottery has also been recorded at an alternative location as NHER 8219.

February 1939. From sand pit 60cm (2 feet) down 274m (300 yards) southeast of Ingham Church.
(i) swelling base of small jar, soft grey micaceous clay, moulded base, slightly hollow, ?early 2nd century.
(ii) base very soft ware, grey and brown paste, grey surface outside, buff inside.
