March 1978. Visit.
Jacobean brick house with thatched roof. North front of three bays, two storeys, central door with blank stone plaque
in its head. Mullioned and transomed in stone, hoodmoulded windows. Flint plinth. Blocked pair of windows in west gable.
Stepped gables each with pair of heavy chimneys. Staircase in northwest angle. Oven near southeast corner.
E. Rose (NAU), 14 March 1978.

(S1) 1988 notes that 'stone' mullioned windows noted above are in fact rendered brick.
Rear wall has five light mullioned window above break in plinth, two two light mullioned windows, and three three-light mullioned windows on upper floor, all renewed.
Interior all renewed about 1970, revealing flint inner faces to external brick walls, with diaperwork in one upper room (does this indicate that brick skin is secondary?). Roof is 19th century.
E. Rose (NAU), 7 August 1989.
