Summary

An Iron Age gold alloy torc terminal was possibly found in this ploughed field in 1947 although NHER 1911 was the original recorded find spot. The ring-shaped terminal is decorated in a similar style to the torcs recovered at Snettisham (NHER1487). The terminal was probably made in the 1st century BC or AD.

Possible alternative findspot for Iron Age torc found 1947. See NHER 1911.
[1], daughter of finder, said in 1990 that her father had told her it was found just north of the pit. This would place it not far from findspot of Iron Age die (NHER 1913).
