Summary

In 1941 a hoard of 664 Roman coins was ploughed up in West Walton. The hoard comprised denarii and antoniniani minted from the reign of Septimus Severus to Tetricus I. It was felt that they were buried in about AD 270 and the hoard has been dubbed 'Emneth Hoard II'.
