1976. Stray Find.
In spoil excavated during construction of Loddon bypass; from peat up to 20 feet [6m] deep by river:
1 Bronze Age stone axe hammer with hour-glass perforation. Possibly made on erratic nodule. Remains of two longitudinal ribs on each side. See drawing (S1).
