Summary

This medieval moat has later duck decoys added to the northeast, southeast and southwest corners. Fieldwalking in the interior recovered 13th-17th century pottery and tile.

Aerial photograph reveals ditches wooded. Small suggestion of outer enclosure to east on (S2) no longer exists.
The extensions to the northeast, southeast and southwest corners are later decoy constructions.
