Summary

A fine 16th century flint and brick house containing original first floor garderobes. Contemporary barn (NHER 63143) and dovecote (NHER 63144) in grounds.

Listing Description:
Tudor Lodgings and attached service wing/cottage.
Former pair of lodgings, now single dwelling and with attached service wing/cottage.
Main range: 16th century with 20th-century refurbishment. Knapped and galletted flint facades with keyed brick dressings; coursed flint gable-ends with keyed brick dressings; pantile roof. Some re-used ashlar in blocked openings. Rectangular in plan; originally divided into two dwellings. Two storeys with attic and cellar.

Very fine 16th-century flint house with contemporary barn and dovecote.
Includes reused medieval stonework.
Octagonal 'star top' chimney on gable.
Blocked doors and windows.
Interior has two opposing winding staircases and first floor garderobes.

Two contemporary 16th-century structures in the grounds of this house are now recorded separately - a barn that was probably once a dwelling (NHER 63143) and a dovecote (NHER 63144). Both were listed Grade II in 1987.
