Summary
There are traces of a possible Norman church on this site. There is a round-headed, possibly Norman window in the nave. The rest of the present building was built around 1300 in early Decorated style. The parapet on the tower and nave, a west window and the south porch were added in Perpendicular style in the 15th century. The north transept aisle is blocked. This was probably the location of St John's Chapel. The chapel was demolished and materials from here may have been used to build Rippon Hall (NHER 7653).
