Summary

1973 aerial photography shows the cropmarks of linear features. Fieldwalking before 1974 recovered Middle Saxon, Late Saxon and medieval pottery fragments and a medieval brooch from the site of a medieval manor house. Fieldwalking from 1980 to 1997 recovered Iron Age, Roman, Early Saxon, Middle Saxon, Late Saxon, medieval and post medieval pottery fragments. Metal detecting in 1995 recovered a Roman brooch, a Late Saxon strap end and medieval metalwork.
