Summary

This Bronze Age round barrow stands approximately 2m high and is 32m in diameter. Prehistoric worked flint flakes have been found nearby.

On former heath east of Devil's Ditch.

Barrow; circular. In fir plantation, many trees on mound - 'Triangle Covert'. Sown around 1890. Fine barrow. Apparently plain bowl, no ditch, no hollow in top. Material, local sand and gravel. Several flakes on mound, but some can be found on heath nearby. Approximate size - height 1.83m (6 feet), diameter approximately 32m (35 paces (say 105 feet)). Previously estimated by H.D. Hewitt as 2.14m (7 feet) high, 105m (115 yards) circumference.

Bare earth on mound except some mature coppiced hazels, birch and young oaks. Mutilated in antiquity in centre.
