Full Description
1949. Stray Find.
Found by [1] south of Round Covert:
1 prehistoric flint adze with tranchet edge. Length 5 5/8 inches [14.2cm] long, patinated. Retained by finder [1] but seen by R. R. Clarke (NCM). Information from (S1).
Although originally recorded as Neolithic, this is almost certainly one of the Mesolithic tranchet axes/axes subsequently identified in the collection of [1] by R. Jacobi and listed in (S2).
