Summary

In 1975 a section of masonry, probably part of a medieval cross, was observed. It measured about 1.2m high and about 1.2m wide. Unfortunately this was destroyed during road construction work.

Probable remains of cross (see (S1)). Destroyed unwittingly in constructing link road. Masonry about 1.2m (4 feet) high and 1.2m (4 feet) wide. Dumped in Mayton Pits, Frettenham.
