Full Description
According to (S1) Dawson-Turner's Blomefield has a marginal illustration of a cross base on four steps, not completely round.
The postmaster in 1926 told him that he 'thought a cross used to stand on the green outside the post office' but there were no remains to show the accurate site.
(S2) records there are 'ancient documents' referring to St Thomas's Cross and Eton Cross.
See newspaper cutting (S3) and letter (S4) in file.
April 2006.
A local legend suggests that the cross at Hunstanton Green (NHER 1279) is the Snettisham Cross, but this is unlikely.
See (S3) and (S4).
D. Robertson (NLA), 7 April 2006.
