6 July 1955 in making septic tank for new village hall 84m (275 feet) east of east end church.
Neolithic pottery A Beaker found at depth of 2.4m (8 feet) in hard sand - broken in digging out. Sand starts at 30cm (1 foot) below surface. (S1). (S2) in file
