Summary

This Methodist chapel was built in the late 18th century and is the oldest still in use in Norfolk. The red brick square two storey building has a pyramidal roof with finial. The façade has three bays and round headed windows. The central doorway has tapering pilasters on each side supporting a pediment over a rounded arch. There are later extensions on both sides of the building. It is said to retain some original fittings.

Bears date 1784 on modern board. (S1) puts it at 1793 to 1794. Red brick, square, pyramidal roof with finial. Two storeys, three bays facade with round headed windows. Central doorway on tapering pilasters and pediment over rounded arch. Dentilled cornice. Only two windows in back wall. Later extensions both sides. Said to retain some original fittings. Under restoration 1987.

The interior has a gallery around 3 sides with a panelled front. The lower seating and pulpit were replaced in the late 19th century. The chapel does retain some fittings such as a full set of wood-grained box-pews and some original panelling.
