Post medieval brick and tile kiln located behind bastion of town defences.

March 2018-February 2019. Watching Brief.
Monitoring during the construction of several new dwellings south-east of Saltpans Close recorded a spread post-medieval brick production waste of likely 18th-century date. This kiln and the one to the east (NHER 14466) are the most likely sources of this material.
