NHER 2821 (Monument record) - Earthworks of post medieval drainage ditches

February 1965. Field Observation.
Ditches were identified on aerial photographs and observed on the ground by a member of the public [1].
The informant [1] believed that some of these were drainage features.

November 1978. Field Observation.
Undulations were observed on the hill slope falling away to the northeast where there is a spring. It is doubtful if any have archaeological significance.

November 2007. Norfolk NMP.
Earthworks of drainage ditches of probable post medieval date are visible on aerial photographs ((S1)-(S5)). A group of earthwork drainage ditches is present leading down a slope to the south of Manor Farm Cottages at Hoe. A spring is shown on the modern 1:10000 map to the rear of the cottages. However, the radial pattern of the ditches suggests that they relate to another spring located to the southeast of the field. It is likely that they are of post medieval date.
