Full Description
February 1994. Systematic Fieldwalking and Metal-detecting Survey.
Field survey on route of B1160 road re-alignment (except for north part through the former Wereham Tip).
Worked flint, building material.
Medieval, post medieval, Late Saxon, prehistoric, Middle Saxon pottery.

The finds have been deposited with the Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1995.72).

March 1994. Watching Brief.
B1160 road re-alignment.
Watching brief on topsoil stripping from the road line; site conditions were poor.
Two small possible pits were identified and recorded (unexcavated). A concentration of slag was seen; all near to north end of monitored area.
