Map

November 1995. Aerial Photograph Interpretation.
A rectangular earthworth (enclosure or small moat?) is visible in 1946 aerial photography (S1) immediately to the east of Reaches Farm. Now built over and known as 'Glebe Close'.
K. Sussams (SAU), 2 November 1995.

October 2018. Breckland National Mapping Programme.
Probable medieval earthworks which may relate to possible settlement, enclosures, embanked trackway, banks and ditches are visible on aerial photography (S2-S3). In the northeast of the site there are ditched earthworks which may have related to former structures. These earthworks are most likely associated with a medieval manor house/farm documented on the First and Second edition Ordnance Survey maps (S4-S5). The earthworks in the south of the area may also be associated with former boundaries seen on the Tithe map (S6) as well as the First (S4) and Second edition (S5) Ordnance Survey maps. These features have subsequently been built over (now known as Glebe Close) and the earthworks have presumably been entirely levelled. These earthworks may further relate to ditches recorded to the east and west of the area (NHER 62489 and NHER 62490).
The mapped extent of this site has been significantly expanded [1].
