Summary

In 1995 a common 1940 type 22 pill box was recorded on this site, facing west. It is part of a serachlight battery site, recorded as NHER 54721.

A World War Two searchlight battery site, of which this pillbox forms part, is visible on aerial photographs and has been recorded as NHER 54721.

The above Second World War pillbox is visible as an extant structure on aerial photographs form 2024 (S1).
The monument point has been updated to a monument polygon reflecting the location of the site as mapped on the modern Ordnance Survey map with an added 1.5m buffer.
