Summary

The skeleton of a human male was found in 1967. A piece of unidentified iron was found with the skeleton. The remains have been dated to the Saxon period.

Piece of iron supposedly found with ribs. Found 45cm (18ins) deep while burying a pig, spade through skull.
Male Saxon type 50 years old. Right femur well developed, heavy dental attrition.
