Summary

The brickworks, shown on an Ordnance Survey map of 1883, finished production in the 1920s. An engine house remains on the site, which had a wire-hauled railway connecting the pits to the brickyard.

Now gardens of Fairways, the rear portions of this house were built in 1931 with the last load of bricks produced in 1927. Only one engine house remains, used as garage (said to have metal plaque, not seen), and overgrown pits. Railway from pits to yard was wire hauled.
