Map

'DMV?' (deserted medieval village) marked on (S1). No source given.
Nothing shown here on (S2).

Visited by E. Rose (NAU) with [1].
Barn in corner of area is dates 1883 but seems to have an older, possibly 18th century core. In east and north walls and in interior facing are a considerable number of limestone blocks clearly from a medieval building, but such reuse is common on the Estate. Otherwise the area contains only a large grassed pit, and churned up mud. Barn ruinous at time of visit. No visible evidence of deserted settlement, but number retained for stonework.
E. Rose (NAU) 5 April 1984.
