J. J. Wymer (NAU)

The feature falls on Sandringham estate, a Keeper, when questioned, said that the ditch occasionally held water, he had no knowledge of the purpose of the mound other than suggesting that it may have been used for duck shooting; this is quite likely and would date it late 17th and 18th century, ie prior to 'piping'.
If it did not have a hunting background then it was probably purely ornamental and of a similar period.
Information from (S1).
R. J. Rickett, (NAU) 30 April 1990.

A number of prehistoric worked flints that were found near here in 1995 are now recorded under NHER 19505.
