Summary

In 1968 a 17th century brick kiln was excavated here. A bronze Roman pin was reportedly found inside the kiln. It has been suggested that a Roman site was located in this area, and that the pin came from earth brought here to fill the kiln in.

[1] told E. Rose (NAU) in May 1980 that he found a Roman bronze pin actually within the kiln; he assumed earth from the surrounding Roman site was used to fill it. Pin not seen.
