Summary

Around 1912 a number of circles identified as the remains of a possible undated round houses were noted up to 1.2m deep in the ground.

Hut circles 10-12 ft (3m-3.6m) diam 3 ft (0.9m) deep though a few were 4ft (1.2m) found in depth among bracken.

July 2002. Desk-based assessment.
Excavation in 1912 found a number of hut circles on Lincham and Weasenham Heaths. The area was reclaimed from common land during World War II. Aerial photographs now show soil marks, undulating g round and signs of surface digging but no indication of any hut circles.
