Summary

During the period 1969-79 a number of Roman, medieval and post medieval pottery sherds were recovered from this location. Later, in 1995, sherds of medieval Grimston Ware and post medieval Glazed Red Earthenware were found in the same area.

'Some years' before 1981. Centred on grid reference and all along south edge field in long narrow strip.
Roman and medieval sherds (not seen by NCM).

Three sherds medieval unglazed, four Glazed Grimston, one late medieval/transitional, three Glazed Red Earthenware, and two late stoneware.

NCM recall that sheet shows that sherds were found before 1979 (not 1981) and that W. F. Milligan (NCM) saw the finds, which are listed.
